Introduction |
Qingdao Tianyue
International Building Material Free Trade City is invested
and constructed by Tianyue International Trade Corp.,
Ltd. of Qingdao Free Trade Zone.
Tianyue International Trade Corp., Ltd. is a Sino-foreign
jointed venture set up by the three parties of Belgium
International Construction Co, Xiamen International
Building Material Corporation, and Qingdao Real Estate
developer. |
1.1 Project
Background
The 21st century is a century of
hope, a century for Asia’s economy developing
at high speed and also a century for China’s economy
advancing rapidly. To conform to tidal current of the
world economic integration of the 21st century, the
global markets of building material are developing in
the direction of globalization, informatization and
ordering. With growing up of Chinese economy, particularly
after China won the Bid for 2008 Olympic Games, with
the implementation of the national policy on developing
the western part of China and after China’s entry
into WTO, a great deal of building materials of medium
and high quality will be imported in the construction
of Chinese economy. Meanwhile, with upgrading of Chinese
industry of building material, more and more building
materials will be exported to various places of the
world. Therefore, there will be an admirable business
opportunity and a huge market space----in some place
and a certain type of logistics pipeline of modern building
materials should be built. After careful investigation
and study, Tianyue’s decision-making body, with
mastery of the trend and market of the domestic and
international building materials as well as the economic
development, sees the situational advantage, port advantage
and the advantage of the Free Trade Zone, and with the
wisdom of all its staff members, decided firmly to set
up “Tianyue International Building Material Free
Trade City” in Qingdao Free Trade Zone and planned
to complete the project by the end of December, 2001,
and open for operation by May, 2002.
1.2 Traffic Convenience of the
Project
This project is located within Qingdao
Free Trade Zone and connected with Jiaozhou Bay Express.
The project is 2 km away from the express exit, connected
with Jiaozhou--Huangdao railway, 3 km from the railway
station, and 50 km away from Liuting International Airport.
Bordering Qianwan Port and the oriental bridgehead of
the new Asia-Europe continental bridge, the free trade
city has extremely convenient ocean, land and air traffic
with powerful traffic radiation.
